2DRY FM invites Broken Hill’s culinary masters to show us your chops for this weekend’s 2023 Cheeseslaw World Championships!
The event will conclude our first ever radiothon, which was a huge undertaking by the station and all of our volunteers!
To celebrate our great station and all our people supporting the station we want to see YOU at the 2023 Cheeseslaw World Championships!
The 2023 Cheeseslaw World Championships will commence at 11 am at 200 Beryl Street on Saturday Oct 14th.
There are 2 Categories
- Traditional (3 ingredients)
- Alternative ( plate must have the character of cheeseslaw)
Winners will be judged by expert panel including:
- Lee Cecchin From the Old Salt Bush
- Cohen Marks
- Eliza Jayne from the Hoedown
- Keegan & Alaisha from the Youth Times
There will also be a people choice awarded to the favourite dish of the day (1 award across both categories)
- Entries are $5 per plate
- Votes for peoples choice are a gold coin
All funds raised go to supporting 2DRY FM’s first ever Radiothon!
The Radiothon will officially close after the event, so if you haven’t made your donation get in quick!
All entries must include a description of ingredients, origin stories of how the recipes are handed down are encouraged!
Chicken and bread available until it runs out!
Prizes include $50 vouchers to the Old Salt Bush, Movie tickets and the coveted GOLDEN GRATER!
The whole event will be live broadcasted on 2DRY FM, winners will be announced on air at midday!
